Job Summary
As a Android Software Engineer, you’ll apply your wits, creativity, and software engineering skills to help architect and build the future of mobile access control. We’re replacing every key on your keychain with a mobile phone in a way that is more secure and more convenient than a key, and we need your help to do it.

Responsibilities

• Candidate will be expected to design, code, test and debug these applications within an agile software development environment
• Candidate will be required to be engaged in problem solving outside of their typical duties
• This position will work closely with the Lead Mobile Engineer 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent education and/or years of work experience
• 3+ years experience developing software
• 2+ years experience developing mobile apps
• Strong knowledge of software design and development
• Extensive experience with software development, testing, and maintenance
• Awareness of business issues and their impact on product development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications

• Willingness and interest to learn new concepts and technologies
• Experience engineering secure systems
• Broad understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy
• Understanding of PKI, certificates, encryption and other security-based concepts
• Experience with modern Android development tools (Kotlin, RxJava, Dagger 2)
• Experience with REST, HTTP, and integration with Web APIs
• Experience with UX
• Familiarity with Git
